This appeal is for 75 daily
wage earning families from the Lucas Road colony, in Grandpass, who have been
out of work and have been in and out of long term isolation/lockdowns (including
the current lockdown) as a result of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic. They work as cleaners at hospitals, operate as
street vendors and CMC workers, and are currently struggling to survive and to
make ends meet.
We hope to provide each family with a pack of dry rations, amounting to Rs. 2000 each, which should be able to tide them over for 1.5-2 weeks. The pack will comprise rations such as rice, dhal, cooking oil, soya, soap, tea, sugar, milk powder and biscuits for kids.
We are committed to complete transparency. A detailed report
will be submitted at the completion of each cause. Bank charges of 2.5%
incurred for credit/debit card transactions has been added to the total value
of the cause.
