This is an appeal for 22 daily
wage earning families (including 9 children under 5 and 20, over 5), from
Udumulla, a rural village in the Kalutara district. These workers work as domestics,
office assistants and mason’s assistants, who are now deprived of work due to
the pandemic, as people are reluctant to have workers from outside working in
their homes. They are therefore struggling to survive. Please support in any
way you can.
We hope to provide each family with a pack of dry rations, amounting to Rs. 2000, which should be able to tide them over for 1.5-2 weeks. The pack will comprise rations such as rice, dhal, cooking oil, soya, soap, tea, sugar, milk powder and biscuits for kids.
We are committed to complete transparency. A detailed report
will be submitted at the completion of each cause. Bank charges of 2.5%
incurred for credit/debit card transactions has been added to the total value
of the cause.
